If you turn left from Viðey House you will soon come upon the Imagine Peace Tower by Yoko Ono and further on you´ll find Viðeyjarnaust cabin.
Viðeyjarnaust cabin was built in 1986 and is a bright and open house with glass walls and roof. About 100 people can be comfortably seated there. It has a small kitchenett and public toilets. It is open daily and is a popular resting place for hikers and other guests of Viðey
to take a break and enjoy the unique view from the patio. By Viðeyjarnaust cabin stands a big, old fashioned charcoal BBQ available for all our guests. Guest must bring all that is needed for the barbecue. Charcoal, all food, plates, glasses etc. There is about 10 minut walk from the boat to Viðeyjarnaust cabin. Viðeyjarnaust cabin is closed over the wintertime from Oktober 1st. To Mai 1st.
If you on the other hand went straight ahead passing
Viðey House, you will soon come upon small huts housing the public bathrooms and the horse rental is right there. If you continue following the road going east you will after about 15 minut walk come upon The Old School House.
The Old School House was built in 1928 and is the only
building remaining, along with an old water reservoir since the old times. It is open to all visitors and there are public bathrooms there.
Public bathrooms are in Viðeyjarnaust cabin, The Old School House and in small huts behind (north of) Viðey House.
